Time Gap

i haven't booked anything yet, but the time gap is on my mind too. how about your FI's parents. are they around and willing to host a little party? nothing fancy just wine and cheese and crackers. i feel that if your mom is involved in planning your wedding then the last thing she wants to worry about is entertaining guests at her house before the reception. any relatives or close friends that live in the area? this is just my thoughts, talk to your mom and see how she feels. she is going to be very nervous, stressed and wanting to unwind. good luck!
