time is flying

time is flying

I swear - time is flying by! I just made mine and FH's dinner reservations for Thanksgiving! We're going to be in Maui for Thanksgiving. My cousin freaked me out last week. She was there a few years ago and they couldn't get dinner reservations anywhere! I couldn't make up my mind where we were going to want to eat, so I made reservations at 3 restaurants - I'll cancel 2 of them as we get closer.

Hoow cute!
I feel like time is going slowly!! hahaha!

We come home from our HM thanksgiving eve. BUT we have to make dinner reservations for my birthday bc I will be in bora bora for that!!

How funny that we will both be halfway across the world at the same time but not quite in the same place!!!

How cool to be spending your bday on your HM in Bora Bora!

I really tried to convince FH to go there for a week and then Hawaii for 2, but it just wasn't happening. I always wanted to stay in one of those overwater bungalows!

Haha. I can't wait.

Hawaii is nice too though. Or at least I've heard.. I've never been there.

FH wasn't hard to convince at all!! I just talked about it.... I can get VERY into things when I like them a lot... and then I showed him pics and he was sold sold sold!! Ha ha one of FSIL's wants to come in our luggage!!!

could be worse, FFIL keeps saying 'we'll meet you in Hawaii' I don't find it funny at all because they're the type that would actually show up! Of course, they won't because they're too cheap, but that's another story.

I *almost* had FH convinced and then when we priced it out, one week in Bora Bora in an overwater bungalow was almost as expensive as 3 weeks in Hawaii, so I lost the battle. Stupid FH being sensible about money!

what three places? we just got back from maui a week ago and my husband was all about eating at the best of the best haha he looked up the best places to eat in maui

we loved lahania grill ... that was our favorite, IO's was very good and Spago (at the four seasons in wailia) those were our favorites! o yea and sansei had very good sushi.

Mama's Fish House
Lahaina Grill
Hula Grill

We both love Mama's and Lahaina Grill. Right now, we're leaning towards the Hula Grill though.

We thought it would be really cool to just walk down the beach to Hula Grill and sit in the sand and eat a nice, casual dinner for Thanksgiving - it's a little more 'us.' We didn't want to do the whole resort thing with the Thanksgiving buffett - it's just not our style.

The last time we were there, one of our favorite parts of the trip was just sitting at the Hula Grill drinking lava flows (me) and mai tais (DH).

Thanksgiving is on our second day of our Maui stay (we're there for 11 days), so we have plenty of time to eat at all the yummy restaurants!
