Time off work for wedding ---double standard

Time off work for wedding ---double standard

Theres 3 guys in my office getting married next summer. They were talking casually with my office manager about how much time they will need off (AT LEAST a week and a half for each of them)

I chime in and say 'yeah, I'm going to need around 2 weeks off myself' and alllllllll of a sudden the mood changes and she says 'hmmm...I'm not sure how much time I can approve you for, I'll have to see'

If I had a d*ck I'd probably get 5 weeks paid vacation...I know it sounds mean but in my office its true

Have they been there longer than you? That's the ONLY reason I can think of that she may not give you the time you need is if you were new compared to employees that have been there for years.

I MAY need 1 or 2 days over my allotted vacation days but I didnt think that would be a huge deal for a life event!

That is soooo wrong. You should definitely talk to an HR manager or something, that is blatant sexism

I would 1st submit these days then if she doesnt approve all will go to ur boss or anyone above her and show how these men took the same time and were approved, or just plain old complain.
dont worry u know that u will end up getting exactly the days u want. eff the bich!
