We're in the process of designing the invites and our ceremony starts at noon, but does everyone think it's better to put the actual start time, or 15 minutes earlier? If earlier is better, can we just write that as 'eleven forty five in the morning' ?
Also, if our ceremony is at the hall, do we need to write 'reception immediatly following' or it's just assumed and doesn't need to be on the invite? Thanks so much..I'm so clueless with this!

Re: Time on the invitation
I am getting married at my hall this is what I did. My ceremony starts at 6:30. So on my invite I put 6:00. I also did put 'Reception immediately Following. '

Re: Time on the invitation
I am getting married at the hall where I'm having my reception. I guess I'll write 'reception immediately following' also. GL

Re: Time on the invitation
If you put an earlier time, which you should, I would do a whole 1/2hr before not 15 minutes. I would put Reception to follow on the invites.

Re: Time on the invitation
I am getting married at the hall but I put the actual time. I didn't know I had to say earlier. As for the reception to follow I ordered a sepatarate card. It says cocktail hour at 12:30 and 'adult reception' to follow at nh ballroom.

Re: Time on the invitation
I kind of expect the invitation to say earlier than when the ceremony starts. A friend of mine got married this past summer and we just got there in time because I assumed that the ceremony wasn't until a half hour later.
