Time Warner Cable SUCKS - Queens - No More Mets Games on TV

Man they piss the hell out of me. Anyone who lives in Queens... and is a Met fan... will realize this week that Time Warner has temporarily cut off MSG Network and Fox Sports NY.

Those two networks are owned by Cablevision and Cablevision and TWC have been fighting over a contract agreement renewal to have TWC carry these two channels.

Since they didn't come up with an agreement... Time Warner was forced to turn off these two channels on Sunday.

If anyone remembers what happened with Cablevision and the YES network... you know what I am talking about.

It was bad enough that I cannot get these two channels in Hi-Definition like Cablevision Long Island offers. Now I can't get them period.

This means no Mets games for me during the week. Channel 11 will still offer them on the Weekends.

Cablevision sucks the royal one. HBO is owned by Time Warner... and I hope Time Warner returns the favor by screwing Cablevision around with HBO renewal and cutting their access.

And if this is a prolonged outage... like over two months... its going to cut into my NY Rangers Hockey television.

Yeah I know, me and Don are not that upset about it because the Mets have been playing horribly lately but Cablevision is being totally unreasonable.

Oh I forgot to mention...

And the worst thing about this... now I can't fight with my FW over what gets put on the TV in the evenings. I am stuck watching Yankee games every evening since the Mets aren't even an option anymore.

If these stations are not restored by the end of the week... I think I am going to have to call them.

The last time I called them I bitched them out saying they were too expensive and I threatened to switch to RCN cable. They took $30 buks off my bill for the next six months. I might have to get more money out of them for this.

They are actually refunding customers $2 buks a month for this 'inconvieience'... which I personally feel is an insult more than a refund.

if the mets were in a playoff run, this would not have happened

Wanna bet? How long was Cablevision and YES up at arms? They practically cut off the entire Yankee season.

Cablevision is the type of company that WILL play harball. The only good thing that can come out of this... is when they do reach an agreement... it BETTER include Hi-Definition access as well. I want to watch my Mets and Rangers in Hi-Def on the plasma.

LOL... yeah that would make for a good debate at lunchtime.

Whats going to last longer... the NHL lockout... or the TWC-Cablevision war.

This really stinks!!!!!! FH and I watch the mets just about every night when they're playing. Before we moved to Queens, he lived on LI, where he had cablevision and no FOX Sports or MSG in his family's basic plan. He finally got those channels a couple of months before we moved, and now they're gone again! UCH!
