What's a reasonable amount of time to give my BMs to get their dresses fitted? I'm trying to decide whether or not I should put a rush cut request on their dress order.

We ordered our dresses in March, they came in June, and the wedding is in August. The salon said they only need a few days to make the alterations once the dress is fitted. So my girls are going this month for their fittings - most are having 2 fittings.

For all the weddings I've been in, the dresses were usually in about 2 months prior to the wedding date. We always started fittings about 3 weeks prior to the wedding date just to play it safe, because you never know if a minor problem may arise. Some may need 1, 2 or 3 fittings, so you want to give enough time. Hope this helps...

I went to my fitting for my SIL's wedding last weekend. The dress will not be ready until Aug 3rd. The wedding is Aug 10th.
In all other weddings I have been in, I have had the alterations done about 3 weeks before the wedding.
