Timeline

Have any of you started to think about the timeline for your wedding day yet?

My ceremony isn’t until 5:00pm so I was expecting to have a later start, but with hair, makeup and photos beforehand it looks like my day will start at 9:00am – which I think is reasonable. My photographers will arrive at 12:30 and we will head to our reveal by 2:00.

I’m trying to make the day flow nicely and so far I’m pretty happy with it. My fiancé and I will be getting ready in the same town and the reveal and venue is all within a half hour radius.

I think it all depends on what you are doing for hair and makeup. I was expecting to start around 10 or 11 since my ceremony is later. But I am only having 1 hairstylist + an assistant and 1 makeup artist come to the house so it will take them a while to have everyone ready. Plus we need time to do our reveal and photos beforehand.

I think it all depends on what you are doing for hair and makeup. I was expecting to start around 10 or 11 since my ceremony is later. I haven't looked into hair and makeup yet. I am hoping I can find someone that can come to me and my bridal party. I don't even know how long it takes for one to get their hair and makeup done haha. Maybe once I find a person to do hair and makeup I will know for sure.

starting at 10 is way to late for a start time. my ceremony starts at 3pm the limo is picking us up at 2pm. were having hair and makeup for me and my 6 bridesmaids. and were starting around 730... and i have 1 hair lady and 2 makeup girls.... it takes about an 1 hour for each girl for each hair and makeup and the bride usually takes a bit longer 1.5 hours.

I started to stress about it but then realized that the photographer can dictate the times for me. The only thing I need to discuss is the start time for makeup/hair with the makeup/hair people.

I think it's easy to get caught up in the stresses of keeping a timeline.

I would first ask your photographer what their start time would be and how he sees the timeline for the day. Then once you know that, I'd talk to your hair/makeup people and ask them how long it will take for each girl and when that should all start.

I agree. I asked hair & makeup what time they needed to start and then asked the photographer how much time they needed for our reveal and group photos. The photographer should definitely a good guide.
