Timeline Cake question

Okay - so I am doing pretty well with getting all my vendors but I am not sure when I should start looking at bakers (nothing too fancy)? Any help would be great!

(this is the cake I want )

I think 6 months before is suitable.

they do provide a cake but no cake tasting... which is a little weird... so I am not sure if I should look at other bakers?

I would find out who your hall's baker is ....and request a tasting through them. Buying you own cake can cost $600-$1200. It is worth getting the one in you package if you like them. Also go to a bridla show they usually serve a cake there. My bakery doesn't do a tasting but I am going to push at least tasting the fillings.

not true, Call Egra Bakery and ask for Lily, she will set up a tasting for you but its usually about 4-6 months prior to the wedding date. they are the house baker for Fox Hollow. I'll be going in August and let you know how it goes!
