FH and I are getting married in June 2006. What vendors do we need to book asap, and which ones can we hold off on?
We already booked the place (East Wind) and the officiant (we're getting married on site).
Mostly thinking about DJ, photographer/videographer, flowers, and limos.

That's what I was thinking too, but I didn't want to hold off on the flowers or limo and then find out I waited too long.

since we have so much time Im trying to do one vendor a month. So far I did hall, DJ, photo & video... next month is flowers... then will come dress and who knows what after that!

I would have to agree that Photo/Video is the most important at this time especially if you have someone in mind..The good photographer's book up first!
Dj is important but I can say, I am 14 months away & I have't booked any music yet!
Flowers don't necessarily have to be done til 8 months prior...I am actually going today bc I know what I want & I am in the next stage!
Limo's are definately last but remember, if you are getting married during prom season, you need to book them ASAP!

I know we have a lot of time...but I feel like we don't
I feel like I know people are going to get engaged around Valentine's Day and things are going to start to get booked.
We have the church and the Swan Club and DJ and Phot/Video are next. Hopefully we will get some ideas at the Jericho Terrace Wedding Showcase tomorrow!
I also want to book my hair and makeup people before those get booked up

I don't really know what the BEST time is to book things. My FI and I were actually wondering when to book what. We decided to do one thing a month in order to stagger the deposits. That way we won't have so many expenses hitting us all at once. So far we've booked the hall and DJ. Next month, photographer, then florist, then limos. On one hand I feel like what's the rush? We have over a year, but on the other hand. I guess it's better to get it done sooner than later, then you won't be so crazed later on as it gets closer to the wedding.
