Hi ladies. Does anyone have a good timeline for when all the vendors should be booked by?
I am starting school again in a month and then I have major Bar Exam studying from Dec-Feb.... So I would like to fast forward on some of the booking process so I do not fall behind and can take a few months off wedding planning without worrying.
Thanks ladies!

Re: Timeline for booking vendors
If I were you, I'd get the biggies done before school and your exam..
There's no reason why you can't book your photog/video, florist, limos etc now.

I agree, definitely get the biggies out of the way.
Since you have the RH booked, I would work on photo/video first (esp. if you have someone high in demand in mind). Then maybe look into florists next. DJ/Band after that and then look into limos after you have figured out how many people you will need it for.

Do it all now and save yourself the headache! Book the DJ, photographer/video, florists, limo etc... Remember the good vendors get snatched up quick and the last thing you want is focus on all this stuff while in school and studying. Trust me it's worth a little bit of time secure the best vendors for you and then it'll be smooth sailing!

Re: Timeline for booking vendors
The sooner the better I think. RH is most important (and Church if that applies) followed by Photo/Video. I wanted a specific photographer but he was already booked a YEAR in advance of my date..So I was SOL and had to default to my 2nd choice photographer.
I booked everything at the 1 year timeframe, with flowers booked last (anywhere from 2-6 months before the wedding date is fine).
Limo - can be about 1-3 months before unless you want a specialty car. Since I wanted a specific car, I booked way in advance.
The only downside to booking early is that you may experience second thoughts..Just try not to second guess your choices because cancelling a vendor can result in lost deposits.

I would try and book the majority of your vendors before you return to school and the bar class. Get as much done before things get crazy

depends on what's important to you. I would book the RH first, photographer, videographer, florist, limo, dress, bm dresses, etc...I booked everything within 3 months of getting engaged.
