Timeline ok so far?
I am working on my day of timeline and need some opinions from you LI natives because I am not familiar with the Friday afternoon/evening traffic out there. I found that working backwards is easiest so the timeline isn't done yet. So far I have,
3:00 Leave Hilton Garden Inn-Westbury
3:30-5 Pictures at Old Westbury Gardens
5:30 Arrive at Ariana Waterfall
6:30-7 Ceremony
7-8 Cocktail Hour (family pics)
8-12 Reception
My concern is making sure that I have enough time to get to Old Westbury Gardens & the RH. Google maps says it takes 7-10 minutes from the hotel to get to OWG. I figured we would leave 30 minutes to allow time to get everyone together and get in limos.
After photos end we are going to the hall so that the Bridemaids/Groomsmen can do a quick rehearsal (FH & I will do our own rehearsal during the week) We are scheduled to be done with photos at 5. Does anyone know how bad the traffic is on jericho turnpike (going west) & mineola blvd (going south) on friday around 5pm? I want to be sure we arrive between 5:30-5:45 before guests start arriving.
