I need help here. I just booked my ceremony time for 6pm and my reception is starting at 7pm.
The church is across the street for the hall.
My question is - am I leaving enough time in between. I want to minimize any dowtime.
I am taking my pics before the cermony.
How long does a typical ceremony last? Don't think I am doing a full mass. Does the cermony usually start on time? Do you think I should change my time to start earlier.

Re: Timeline question!!
Cermonies usually never start on time. Figure about 15 min late max. If you have a full mass which usually lasts about 45min and If you do a receiving line i doubt you will be finished by 7. I would recommend just doing a ceremony no mass and no receiving line. This will give you ample time. You can greet your guests during cocktail hour.

Re: Timeline question!!
I've been to 8 weddings in the past year and they have all started on time! maybe 3-5 minutes late at the most. if you are not having a mass, it should be around 35-40 minutes.
