For an October wedding, when is the latest I should have my girls get their bridesmaids dresses?
For my fellow October brides, what's next on your to do list? I wanna have my hair trial by January! That's the last 'big' thing I don't have yet. Still searching for someone to do hair. (I'm in Queens.)
For all other brides, what's next to check off your list?

Timeline Question - Long Island Weddings
I'm going bridesmaid dress shopping with my girls on 12/27 so we'll see if we find something. FH And I are working on a hotel block and save the dates. We want the hotel block info to be on the website when the save the dates go out out. I've also started to dabble in hair and make up trials.

Timeline Question - Long Island Weddings
We picked out dresses from davids bridal and they always come quick so I told my girls to order whenever they can but to let me know when they do. I have all my vendors booked except photobooth. Next big thing on my list is wedding rings and registries!

Timeline Question
I already picked my dresses. I'm thinking of going on February I want to go somewhat early because I've had plenty of mix ups when I was a bridesmaid and the dresses came in so late I couldn't do anything about it.

Timeline Question - Long Island Weddings
we did dresses in august for may.. i think 6 months is prob the latest to go
for hair, I heard Randi Ross is great! She's in Queens.. I'm using Christina Amador in Bellerose for my makeup and she recommended Randi- I would have booked with Randi, but my mom and I decided we would rather go to a hair salon because we have guests staying at our house and feel it would be too hectic staying around here haha
if you are looking for a salon, and not someone to come to your house, then I'd recommend the Garden City Salon and Spa. The place is huge, and we can have 3 people working on hair there at once which is so helpful and alot quicker. They are catering us in bagels, coffee and mimosas and stuff too and it's nice to not have to worry about cleaning it all up! They also allowed for my makeup lady to come to the salon as well

Timeline Question - Long Island Weddings
I went in August for my June wedding, I just wanted to get it out of the way. Like cets1290 said, I wouldn't wait more then 6 months.
I am using Randi Ross for hair, she was recommended by Christina Amador who is doing my makeup. Both are great!

Timeline Question - Long Island Weddings
I already have the bridesmaid dress picked out, but not everyone has ordered yet. One of my bridesmaids likes to plan early, so she put in her order, but the bridal salon said they won't fully put in the order until everyone has paid. My MOH is in Florida and will come up Christmas time to try on dress. The other two said they will order by February or March. It is just a matter of getting everyone on the same page!
Our next step in wedding planning would be hotel block, limos, hair & makeup trial. We ordered our save the dates last week. We will send those out probably in January or February.

Timeline Question - Long Island Weddings
I already have my bridesmaids dresses picked out, and they're from David's Bridal, so they have plenty of time. I am going to tell them to order by June. I did my makeup trial this weekend, LOVED her, so that's all set. I want to do hair by January also. I don't have MY dress picked out yet, so I really need to get on that. Other than that, after hair and my dress, I think I'm just gonna relax until the summer! LOL!

Timeline Question - Long Island Weddings
I'm getting married October 18th all the big vendors are booked already hair and makeup is done. Hotel block we did and sent out save the dates a few weeks ago. I plan on going after the holidays and it calms down sometime in January to have my girls try on dresses I already have an idea of the dress. Only thing I have to book still is photo booth. I have been slowly working on my detail items that is what is next on my list. Our guest sign book, card box, stuff for our centerpieces, tables.

Timeline Question - Long Island Weddings
I have all my major vendors booked except invitations. The next thing I'm doing is going to look at dresses with all my girls at the end of this month. My MOH lives in SC and will be visiting so it's the only time we all can go together. After the New Year I have to do our save the dates/find someone to do invitations.

My biggest items left are invites and favors, MOG dress and bridesmaids dresses. Not sure when all this will be done with the holidays around. Also STDs need to go out in January. :)
