Re: timeshare honeymoon
jen, think about it this way: money saved on the hotel can be used to extra goodies like nice dinners, excursions and sounvenirs!

Re: timeshare honeymoon
We used my aunts timeshare in disney for a week. It was a great time and it was even better that we saved money because we went on a cruise after disney and had more money to play with.

Re: timeshare honeymoon
I've used RCI and Interval International timeshares in the past and I never felt that they were 'low class'. The resorts I've been to were beautiful - never felt like I cheaped out.

Re: timeshare honeymoon
I also use RCI, we have our timeshare in cabo san lucas but have exchanged the week for other locations in Mexico and Europe. Each time we choose the hotel/resort and they have always been 1st class.

Re: timeshare honeymoon
I am using my parents' timeshare (RCI) for our HM. I am also using my AMEX points for our roundtrip tickets. I have enough for 2 roundtrip tickets to Hawaii. So, right now we have a search in for recorts in Maui and Oahu - we are just waiting to hear back. Nothing is available yet.

Re: timeshare honeymoon
We used two weeks of my parents timeshares for our HM, one week in Acapulco and one week in Puerto Vallarta. We stayed at Mayan Palaces at both and they were 5* all the way.
