Timing help please!!!

Timing help please!!!

How is this timing?

cocktail hour 6-7
Dinner served at 8:30

Cake cutting at 10:45
Dessert at 11

(we have the reception hall until midnight)

I'd say dinner should be at 8, and move everything a little bit earlier, in general, no one wants to wait untill 11pm to have cake you might lose some guest before that, JMO

If you have other courses, dinner probably will be later- do you have salad, anything else?

Sorry, I should have clarified. Its a buffet dinner.
