Timing on accessories

How soon before your wedding did you buy your accessories - like tiara, veil, shoes, garter, jewelry, etc?

Did you wait for your dress to come in?

I say whenever you're ready. Well I had to have my shoes before I even ordered my dress b/c they needed to know how tall I'd be. I ordered my dress in June, and it's not supposed to come in until March. I've already ordered my veil, headpiece, and FH bought me my DOJ.

i got my jewelry and shoes when i got my dress... i havent gotten the garter yet tho... i was going to use a NY rangers garter, but I might get a St. Louis Cardinals one because i want to use it in my B-Pics... we;ll see..

but i guess when ever you feel like getting it

I got my shoes before I had my dress. I didn't even know what my dress would look like but I knew I wanted the shoes. Then I ordered my dress & veil last September and it came in January 09. Since then I have gotten all of my accessories througout the months. I have my entire wedding day attire ready to go, lol.

As soon as I saw what I wanted I ordered it. Especially if you're going to have anything custom made like jewelry and such!!

I did not wait for my dress to come in...I ordered my veil and tiara the same day as my dress at the bridal shop. I bought my DOJ from Thomas Knoell several months before my wedding and I bought my shoes about 5 months before.

I bought veil and hairpiece when I bought my dress because they went together.

The veil I brought right after the dress, def recommended. And the garter and shoes three months before my wedding. I literally brought jewelry a day before my wedding. I know how late is that?? Luckily, I found everything I was looking for at Macy's!

i ordered my dress back in June and placed my order for the veil and headpiece yesterday actually. It will be ready in May from Barron's. Also got my DOJ yesterday as well. I ordered it from another booth at Tri-County. It will be ready in 2 weeks.....
