Timing questions

how many hours before your ceremony is your hair/make up person doing you?

Re: Timing questions

I know I want pics of me getting ready (and FH getting ready as well) so I definitely want my photog there when my hair and make-up person is working. I'm planning to leave for the church at 2:30, so I'm assuming my hair/make-up with start at like 1pm? I'm going to talk to my hair and make up people and see how long they expect it to take then I'll base it from there. I guess you also need to consider if you're taking pics, how many and for how long before you leave for your ceremony.

I personally want my hair/mu done as late as possible so it has less time to get messed up!

i don't know when i am doing hair & make-up yet. but my ceremony is at 2 & my photog is going to be at the house at 11 so probably hair & make-up at like 8am. but that also depends of it anyone in my family is using the same hair & make-up people.

Re: Timing questions

My ceremony starts at 3pm.

I believe my photog is coming around 1 or 1:30 (gotta double check). I plan to go for my hair/makeup around 9:30-10ish.

Re: Timing questions

My photographer told me to have everyone else but myself completely ready by the time they get there at 2:30. I should have my hair and makeup done at or around that time and they will take pics of my dress, etc. before I put it on (so everyone should have hair and makeup done by 2:30, bms/moms/etc. should be completely dressed, and i should have everything done but not be dressed in my dress, shoes, jewelry yet). My ceremony starts at 6:30

ETA: you should be the last one getting your hair and makeup done so starting 1 of those at 12 and the other at 1 sounds right to me!

Re: Timing questions

Mine might as well spend the night the night before...
my ceremony starts at 1:00 (only time the church was available that day), photog is getting to my house around 11. so make up/hair needs to be started around 8 or 9
thank god its a family friend so its not a big deal how early it is!

Re: Timing questions

I was really confused about this as well and stressing! i didnt want them to come to early cuz i want to look really fresh and like you, i also want the photog to take pics of me getting ready.

my ceremony starts at 3 and me and the girls are being picked up at around 2:30, the photog is coming at 1 and i think i have the makeup and hair people coming at 12 if i remember correctly so by 1 i should be almost done with hair and makeup but a little more to go so he can still get shots of them working on me and then by 1 or 1:30 at the latest ill put on my dress and finish up getting dressed.
