My DH tells me why shoul dhe have to put it down. I told him because he doesn't clean it! It is digusting. Oh, and why cant they replace the tilet paper? He will take it out, unwrap it, but put it ontop of the used roll!

DH keeps the seat down. The bad thing is that he also puts the lid down and many times in the middle of the night I have almost had an accident forgetting to lift the lid!!!!

We made a deal...he puts the seat down and I pull the plug in the shower so the water doesnt go out the top shower part and hit him in the head when he is adjusting the temperature.
He keeps his end of the bargain but I don't. Oh well

He NEVER puts it down. When we visit my parents house my dad yells at him, because my dad lives in a house of women he has been trained. FH lived in a house of 4 men and 2 women so it was opposite. It drives me nuts and is disgusting.

FH keeps it down AND changes the TP. It's me who gets lazy (at times) on the changing of the TP

LOL at Shelzyp and Kate My FH puts the seat down but NEVER puts the TP on the TP holder thingy he leaves it on the counter.

DH will change the TP if he finishes every last square. That is, if there is even one square left he thinks that is a sufficient amount for the next wiper.
This drives me crazy, I use so much TP it looks like a glove. So there I am stuck with one flimsy square with new TP halfway across the room.

I leave a basket (I am the basket queen) next to the toilet with *at least* a roll of new TP in it so that that doesn't happen to anyone.

I like to keep it down but always have to check after my husband uses it. He is like a little boy...forgets to flush, makes a mess...I'm always cleaning up after him.

i spend alot of time at fiances parents house... they put the seat AND the top lid down, that way to use it at all you have to lift something up.

DH is pretty good about keeping it down. Now, once in a blue moon, I find it up, but not too often so I don't complain!!!

DH is HORRIBLE with the keeping of the seat down!!!!! Grrr!!! Nothing I do or say makes it better either!

Marni can you put something really wet under him just when he sits down for dinner? . I swear the only way to teach them is for them to see what it feels like to suddenly be all wet!!

FH always left the seat up. Then I told him about an article that I read that when you flush, water can spray up to 3 feet in the air. Well, his toothbrush is right on the sink next to the toilet (less than 3 feet away). That seemed to do the trick!
