Tip at the Tasting? *I'm Back with update*

I'm probably going to tip our server.....is this customary? Should I be thinking of tipping anyone else? It's a private tasting for me, FH and 4 of our guests.

Update: The 6 of us had a lovely private tasting in the dining room of the bridal suite. Our server was a very nice, young girl. She wasn't very knowledgeable, but she did try to be as accommodating as possible. I gave her $20 when we were leaving. It felt like the right thing to do. She really worked hard to make sure we were happy and taken care of.

I wonder what proper etiquette is here...

I think you should bring your BM a gift, such as a nice box of chocolates. You want to keep him/her happy!
However, the chef and server are employed by the venue and are paid to do a good job. I don't think they expect a tip. Also, I feel like you may insult the chef if the tip is too small...Some chefs think overly highly of their food!

I think we left maybe $10 or $15 to the server. It was 3 of us at the tasting, and she brought out some wine and soda for us. I think you should leave a small tip.

we left $20 on the table when we left for the server. both the server and the bm were very appreciative.

Im thinking now that we might have over tipped our server at the hall. We went there for dinner and gave him $50...I think that was too much compared to what I am hearing now...

my RH didnt have a tasting but for my sister tasting she could have 4 people with her and my dad tipped I think $20. When we booked my Rh there was a server who brought in drinks and some anti-pasta type stuff and my dad tipped her $10. Thats just how my dad is.
