Hi girls-
When preparing tip envelopes for the vendors, do you include a thank you with the tip/cash, or just the money and then after the wedding send the thank you note?

So confusing...

I am only putting cash in the tip envelopes.

When I send my thank you cards, I'll probably send each vendor a separate thank you card.

I think just the tip itself.....


Speaking of which, is there some kind of rule of thumb of how to tip? How much % to each vendor?

Thanks! I wasnt sure. I was thinking just the tip too, but my friend said to add thank you notes also.

I dont think there is a rule on how much to tip. Its really up to you.

I put the tip money in these tiny little gratuity envelopes and on the outside, i wrote:
to: so and so
Thank you for your hard work!
love: john and lisa

i plan to send thank you cards too..

I made envelopes last night for that very thing...
I wasnt planning on putting a note though. If you want to send them a thank you card later on for them to put in their albums you could always to that.

we put cash in the envelopes.. we added more $$ to some vendors as the night progressed based on how it went.. it was hard to decide how to tip someone before you saw them at work!

nah I didnt.. I wrote T/Y across it and thats about it! They'll get a thank you card when we send them out in a few months.

iactually had extra TY's from my shower and used them!

I put little notes in the envelopes with the $$....one less thing to do after the wedding.
