Yes, it is an outside vendor who is coming an hour early to set-up and will be there for the last hour of my reception so YES he does deserve a TIP!! Good service and hard work deserves a TIP

If you are so sure he deserves a tip, I do not understand why you posted this ?? to us then. If you are gonna tip 15-18% is good.

she wasnt asking if she should tip him,,her original question was more on the line of HOW MUCH to tip..

I agree with many of the posts, your question is what should I tip and in my opinion the answer is nothing. they dont do very much...its gets a bit out of hand and it is not necessary! BUT, if you are choosing to do so than the standard 15%-18% like christine said would be the norm.

I wouldnt tip even if it is an outside vendor- Im sorry this is nuts just cause its a wedding- you have to tip everyone????????? would you tip if it was a birthday party? prob not.
Im sure their employer is paying them for setting up and break down. It literally is only up for a half hour, if that! Its getting a little bit rediculous with the tipping- if you feel that compelled then give them 20 bucks!!!!
and HEY we ALL do hard work- I dont get tips- do you?

My friend was in from Scottland this weekend and didn't understand why I gave the gas attendant a $1 tip....

I always tip the gas attendant.. I am to lazy to pump my own gas and feel that I should at least give a little tip to the perosn who is pumping my gas....not much 2 bucks...
