Tip for going to the bathroom on your wedding day

I got a tip about the bathroom from the bridal center. she said to pick up the front of your dress then sit on the toilet fancing the wall. she said she was able to go to the bathroom without any help.

this reminds me of my college roommate's wedding! each of us bridesmaids had to take turns helping her by holding up her dress while she 'went'. lol!

OMG! I just had a visual of myself straddling the toilet bowl.

I just can't wait!

thanks for the tip though. I wonder which would be easier? that way or having my MOH lift the whole thing over my head

I took the whole thing off. I had to once the whole day which is a miracle for me. My dress was not hard to get on or off.

I just realized I didn't use the bathroom the whole night! I was too busy until the end!!!!

I wish I would've know this !!! My poor BA had to hold me and my dress up while I 'went'. Of course, I had to go a hundred times because of my nerves and all those drinks I had. She was a doll, though.

Same here! I stepped out of the dress & slip, went potty, stepped back in and had DH zip me back up!

That's what worked for me...I tried to pick up the front of my dress, I couldn't go that way!!!

Yeah - I plan on taking it off. I can't imagine the nightmare it would be trying to go with the dress on....there would definitely be a problem for me.

I had heard about this before and thought I may need to use this 'technique' but my dress was A-line and the slip wasn't to poufy, so I just lifted and sat...no problems at all.

I thought I would have such issues with this, but ya know what....I never had to go ALL day long.

I got my dress on around 330-4pm and didn't go to the bathroom until almost 2am! It goes so fast hehehehe

haha i go like 50 times a day....because i drink too much water....im gonna have to be degydrated at the wedding...otherwise i forsee a disaster

I plan on taking my dress of too it 2 pieces so I think it will be easy to step out of it.

This made me laugh so hard!!!! I tried on ball gowns last wek, and could barely step into the slip .. I can't even imagine going to the bathroom!!!!

My DOC held the dress up for me while I went. I only went once - it was such a pain. Mostly because I had to make sure my stockings were on correctly moreso than the problems with the dress!

YES!!!

I had to go every time I was in the bridal suite.

I had an A-line dress. I still think you would need help if you had a ball gown
