Is it customary to tip the seamstress who does the alterations on your wedding gown? If so, how much is usually tipped? Is it a certain % of the cost of the alterations?

I would definitely tip the seamstress. Not sure how much, though. I still have a little time to go.

It's not custom to tip the seamstress...especially when you are getting them done in-house at a bridal salon...But the person who helped me at the bridal salon I used was amazing...so I gave her a card with $25 thanking her for her work etc.

For my first fitting I threw her $20. And I threw her another $20 when I picked it up. I don't think it is customary/expected but I felt it warranted it - the first tip I gave just to make sure she did a good job on my dress.
