tip for seamstress

Are you ladies tipping your seamstress?? If so, how much do you think is appropriate. I had alot of work done to my dress...about 5 inches taken in and she did a great job...TIA for feedback

I'd say if you are happy with the results I would give her a little something. I just believe in tipping anyone who offers you any kind of personalized service. When I got my BM dress hemmed and taken in, I gave her a $10 tip.

If I did it would've been about $10 or $20. However, my dress was huge on top and needed to be taken in and the seamstress actually argued w/ me and my mom that it wasn't. (they tied my corset so tight I couldn't breath and tried to pass it off as fitting me) And she had an attitude when the hem was still too long. Needless to say I didn't tip and I'm glad. The day of the wedding the hem and bustle were still too long and I spend the whole reception hiking it up and stepping all over it.
