Tip Hired Officiant?

I am hiring a Rabbi/Priest combo for our wedding in a few weeks, and I am wondering if we should tip them? We are already paying a $750 fee per person, and a separate site fee for a university chapel. What do you think? TIA.

I agree. It's a heck of a lot of money for about 30 minutes of their time. I'm not tipping on top of that (unless my dad makes me).

I'm probably going to make a small donation on top of what we are paying but that's only because we like him so much and because of one other thing...when he first quoted us his fee it was slightly more than we wanted to pay, so FH said we're on a budget, and he knocked off almost half which was wonderful but honestly, we can afford to make a little more of a donation than that so I'd like to give the church a little more for his time an efforts so maybe a $25 or $50 donation in addition to the $300 we are paying. We had budgeted $400 and he's doing it for $300 so I think it's only fair.

we hired a judge, but did not tip him. he gets to keep the whole amount we paid him, so he didn't need more on top of that!

I wouldn't tip them on top of that. most rabbis/priests that are not part of a synagogue/church work indepedently and keep the entire fee.
I am in the same situation and I'm not planning on tipping.

I don't think you should tip but I honestly think they might expect it. I def think that you are paying enough money already.
