Tip on top of 18%service charge?

I know at our place the maitre'd & bridal attendant are not included in that service charge. Call your place and check. Different places have different set ups. I know, it's a big bucks biz. The Land of Palms my father would call this if he was alive - everyone has their hand out (palm up to hold your money of course) haha
This is such a big business ! (ugh!)

The 18% should include all tips. At one place, there was only a 14% service charge and the maitre'd was a separate 4%. Make sure you find out.

Is this what everyone is finding to be true across the board? 18% includes the maitre'd? I'm pretty sure the service charge in my contract is 18% but I'm sure that they said it doesn't include maitre'd...
can any Milleridge brides help here?

As everyone said...ask your banquet manager who exactly is covered.

I am a milleridge bride so our 18% is included but if everything is amazing that night(which I am sure it will be) we will tip the maitre'd (sp?) and bridal attendant but I would def not tip them beforehand--

Very helpful....yes, I will be sure to see if my contract is set up is the same. I thought the maitre'd wasn't included but I'm not 100% sure. I haven't really been thinking of gratuities but I guess I should! Who's your contact at Milleridge? We have had Leslie and she is very nice. I have had limited dealings so far though. Only to book them and then one time to drop off a payment. My next payment is due in 2 weeks so I will stop by and ask a few more questions to avoid surprises. Thanks
