We are paying the Cantor $800 to participate in our ceremony and we mailed the check to his house so it's clearly all profit. Do we have to tip him?

It's a really long story. My FH is Jewish but is from MD he has no connection with a temple here in NY. We found the Cantor through my Pastor who is also participating in our ceremony. We couldn't find anyone else that would be willing to marry us since a) i'm not jewish and b) since we are getting married at 3pm on a Saturday. So we just paid the piper and are dealing with it.

ok good because I was thinking the same thing he is pocketing all of that money anyway why give him more when he is already charging us an arm and a leg.
