Our RH gave us the idea to get a sky miles credit card and charge the hall on the card. All of those points should def. get us free HM flights!

Re: Tip to save money on HM flights
We charged our RH on our Starwood Card and it was great! We got some free nights because of it.
Just an FYI though, to use the minimum number of miles possible to book a trip, you usually have to book as soon as the flights are available, the airlines limit the number of flights available for mileage rewards customers. You may still be able to redeem miles but, you may need to redeem up to 2x as much (we looked into this thoroughly when booking our honeymoon).
I'd look into getting a hotel card or a card with points that can be used for anything (like an AMEX), the hotels seem to have less restrictions.

thanks...I think the card I ended up getting is all around rewards...capital one... I work for the Four seasons so I get five comp nights and a bunch of 50% off nights this year!!! I am so happy about that. My whole honeymoon might almost be free!

This happened with us. FH and I have a Delta AMEX and when we went to book our free flights the points were doubled so it ended up just being cheaper booking another airline all together. But gettting points are great!

Re: Tip to save money on HM flights
American Airlines is the best airline if you want to redeem points, they never give you the 'you need to use double the miles scheme' and they let you hold your tickets for 2 weeks, Delta lets you hold them for 3 days max. Also american airlines is more flexible and willing to get you those tickets...just my experiance.
ETA: They have the best partners in my opinion as well.

i don't think my hall lets me charge payments. they have to be in cash, check, or money order form. unless i'm wrong. anybody else making payments to jericho terrace and have charged it?
