Ben at The Bourne Mansion told me I should tip the maitre d $4pp. Does that sound right to you guys?? I think it sounds a little high. I have about 175 people & I thought we would give around $500.00 for him and then $100 for everyone else that I listed below.

Do I also tip the florist?
The waitstaff/ bartendar don't get a tip from me because that's what the 18% service charge is for, right?

I read that you are only supposed to tip the florist if they come to the site and set up the flowers.

that's about a decent average. i also have heard of the $3-5 a person--so i gues the $4 falls right in the middle.
but i say tip what you feel comfortable with that day. perhaps you may not feel so great with your matire d' by the days end, or maybe you'll think he was beyond fantastic and want to tip more!

oh and maybe it's cause i worked in the service industry for awhile (waiting tables, bartending) but i would probably give $20 or so each to the waiters and bartenders. yes the 18% service is part of their pay--but they really don't get much.

I would give something small, chances are the delivery person isn't going to see that 50 delivery fee
