i'm too lazy to go thru that search list and threads so i have this list saved on my computer:

List of People Who Should be Tipped & Avg. Amounts:
Tipping can get kind of crazy! it basically seems like you must tip everyone. This is a list of just about EVERYONE who might expect/typically receives a tip. You do NOT have to tip everyone on this list--I just wanted to give the full amount of people:

-Seamstress
-Hair stylist
-Make-up person
-Church music person/and or musicians
-Florist Delivery person
-Florist set up people
-Limo Driver (yes their grat is included, but it's spread out among different people, it's usually standard to give them a few bucks)
-Photographer
-Photog Asst.
-Videographer
-DJ
-MC
-(And sometimes musicians if you are having them at ceremony, CH, or reception)
-Matire D' (typically $2-$4 a person at reception)
-Bridal Attendant
-Valet Attendants

These are optional people--but since I worked in the service industry for years, I will probably give a little something:
-Bartenders
-Individual Waiters during reception

Amounts vary from one wedding to another. I only included an actual amount for the maitre d' as that seems to be kind of standard. As for the rest--do what you can afford and makes you comfortble. Excluding the matire d', tips can range from just $20-300; with lots of variances in between.

Re: Tipping

on the same note....do we have to tip the stylist and artist for day of make-up and hair???
its usually not customary to tip the owner of a business and since in a sense they own it on top of the cash for the service should we tip again???

would love to hear opinions??
Thanks :)

Re: Tipping

I get depressed when I look at the tipping list, I think I'm going to need an armored truck with me the day of the wedding.

Re: Tipping

This is a bit crazy and not too mention if you are not using the house vendors they make you pay half price for the meals of these people which can add up.
