I have heard that you are supposed to tip the maitre d', but here's a question---do you also tip the DJ? If so, how much is fair?

Oh yes, there are lots of people to tip that day! I had a band, so I am not so sure about a dj - I'm thinking $50 - 100?

We gave our DJ $60. You have to tip everyone

This whole tipping thing frightens me, all I see is visions of me with $100 bills sticking out of my bra and hanging off my garter the day we get married so I don't forget anyone.
Has anyone tipped afterward? Like after the honeymoon with a letter of gratitude along with money??

We were going to give him $50.00, but he did a great job so I told DH give him $60.00. People told us we didn't have to tip him because he's the owner, but we felt he deserved it. We also forgot about the bridal attendant So I had someone grab me an envelope for her ($50.00) She was so great I felt like she should get more than the matire'd. Not that he did a bad job but she was my right had woman
