tipping

I am using a makeup artist who has her own makeup company. She doesn't work through anyone.

When she comes for the day of my wedding am I supposed to tip her still, since she keeps the money that the makeover costs?

Nope...if they own the company or are freelancing..you don't tip.

Yes, I'm sorry but I disagree with the whole owning your own company thing and not tipping. My hair/mu person is freelance, I tipped her because she did a fantastic job and deserved it. My photographer works for himself, he got an amazing tip as well. He deserves. Look, they're providing a service to you, and just like any other service provider, whether the fee goes to them or not, a tip is to show appreciation for a job well done. If they did so, then tip them.

yea I agree- especially since the vendor you mention has to travel to you & we all know what the price of gas is!
