FH and I were just talking about this last night and we aren't sure... Does anyone know who must be tipped at the actual wedding, and a roundabout price? Thanks!

Re: Tipping
Maitre D: Usually specified by RH, or they give an estimate, anywhere from $2-5 pp
BA: $50-100, or more, depending on quality of service
DJ: $50-100 each
Photog: $50-100 each Florist: $30-50
Hair/MUA: 20% of services, but can be tricky if the person owns the company and then they customarily don't take tips
Limo: Gratuity is usually included, but you can offer an extra $20 if the service was extraordinary
Video: $50-100
I think thats everyone

Crashing...the florist is usually not tipped...if you happen to be there when the delivery guys are setting up, you can tip them about $5 each (this is the amount I heard).

Not stupid. It took me a while to figure it out! I think it is the bridal attendant.

My photogs, video guy and cocktail hour musicians own their won companies... do I have to tip them too? I'm paying my photogs enough to put their kids through their first year at a SUNY College, I don't want to tip them too!!! Haha!! (Althought I do love them).

LOL!!!
I think you could easily offer less than what I stated, maybe offer $50 each if you feel they did an exceptional job. But like I said, if they own the company, they may not accept it (well, thats what everyone always says about the owners of hair salons but I think it also applies to wedding vendors too).
Remember, tipping is NOT mandatory. It should be given for jobs well done, as an added extra; don't let vendors fool you into thinking they're not making a dime off your event or that tipping is mandatory. I've worked in the restaurant/catering field for YEARS and while I made my living off tips (these vendors don't) they aren't required no matter which way you slice it, so if it isn't in the budget, don't feel bad
