I have a question about tipping. I am getting married and Lands End includes a 20% tip in their bill. Does anyone know if this cover the Matrie D?
Oh man.
Also, did anyone tip the priest? My sister did!!! I this normal?

if you get married in a church, you do not tip the priest, only the alter boys and organist/soloist. if you get married at the rh, then you do tip the officiant. congrats!!!

Mine doesn't include the mait'r D and the bridal attendant. our BM recommended $3-5 pp for the mait'r D and $100 for the bridal attendant.
Also, if you're getting married at church, don't tip the priest, just the altar boys/girls!

I don't believe that covers the MD or BM and you definitely do not need to tip the priest (that should be covered in the church donation). I would tip the organist (if you have one) and the alter boys - but you don't have to give them much.

it definitely doesn't cover the maitre d and the BA. the service charge is only for the cooks and the waiters.

my contract says $5pp for the Matrie D. But the verbal conversation was $3-5. I'm only going to pay him $3, extra $2 pp is A LOT!
How much are you girls tipping? and I think the bridal attendant perhaps $200?

My RH includes the Bridal Attendant. The MD is the only one not covered by our contract. They suggest $3-5 pp but I think they do this so ppl with smaller weddings give a bit more and ppl with higher # of guests can do $3 - kinda evens out and the MD will make a fair share.

who else do you have to tip? My friend tipped everyone...florist $200 (which seems like a LOT), the catering hall! Do you normally tip a band? I am paying a ton of money for my band, so I don't get why I would have to tip them too!
