Do you still tip hair and makeup people if they are their own business?

I absolutely did.

I did as well I believe I gave 15-20% of the total charge since my whole bridal party had their hair and make up done as well.

I know they say you dont HAVE to tip the proprietor of a business... but I always thought that just pertained to restaurants.

I tip everyone. So I definitely would tip them!

I would always. I work in a restaurant, so my policy is anyone who provides a service for me (hair, make up, even the movers and plumbers when they do things at my house), because I know that a lot of the charges they charge me are for overhead, travel, supplies, etc.

I tip everyone as long as I am happy with the service I recieve.

I always tip. No matter who they are, especially if I am happy with the services.

Yes! You do tip. I'm a hairdresser and we live off tips, so even if they gave a good price bc they're doing it on the side or bc it's their own business, the tips are what really matter to us in the end!'
