Tipping AND feeding venders ...

OMG! just had a thought ....

Do we really have to give a vender a $100 meal AND give them a tip?

THAT MAKES ME MAD!!!! AHHH!! Why can't we offer one or the other? If we don't feed them it effects thier work .... if you don;t tip you are a monster!!

We should start a revolt!!

Some places let you just order pizza for the vendors.
Also, does your hall have vendors eat half price or 1/3 price?

i could be wrong but i don't think u pay the same price for vendors as you do for your other guests. u should ask your banquet manager about this

I think it's kinda rude to give them a pizza, most places let vendors eat cheaper

Other than the photographer that is with you all day, I dont know why you need to feed anyone else. The band or dj is there for 5 hrs...why cant they eat before they come...or eat at the cocktail hour? I'm sure this sounds cruel...but it's just insane how much it costs. I have 9 people in my band...so with feeding them and tip it costs a fortune!

It does stink if you have a band

In my DJ contract it does say I have to feed them

So i have a DJ, MC and percussionist to feed

Also have 2 photogs and videographer and my DOC

so that is 7 people

i spoke to my band about this b/c total I would have to find 10 people...they said they would work it out where some will eat at the ch and some will share a meal bc 100x10= $1000!!! just in my band eating, that's insane!

I agree with you- I wouldn't give the vendors pizza. I've just heard that some people do this- so I was throwing the idea out there.

It's just so crazy to me. When else, other than a wedding, does someone get paid, tipped and VERY expensive meal for doing their job. I am 100% for feeding the photographer b/c he/she is with you ALL day. I dont know how anyone else can demand a meal. JMO

My place all vendors eat free at from the CH preferred vendors get a free meal, non preferred vendors are 1/2 price... I dont get why they need the CH and a meal though? I mean most CH are meal in themselves!!

and the whole pizza thing is rude. im sorry, if every1 is eating steak, how could u feed your vendors dominos? and how r u to guarantee that ALL of your guests will give u a envelope?

i duno...its expensive but its something u have to do.
