i'm having my make up done at the MAC at bloomie's tomorrow for my b-pics. do i leave a tip? this is my first time having make up done at a dept store, so i wasn't sure what the norm is. TIA!!

I had my makeup done before at the counter and they asked me to buy 3 of their product, I think they're paid on commission so i dont think you're supposed to tip...I hope this helped.

the people at MAC all need to get on the same page! when i called for the appt, the person on the phone told me a purchase of ONE item was all that was necessary. today, when i got to the counter, the first person i saw told me that 5 items needed to be purchased whatever, i needed make up done. then when my make up was done, the girl who did my make up told me i had to buy either $45 worth of make up, or tip the artist! so i tipped the artit $20, and i was outta there. i just wish there was a set rule among all MAC counters!

wow i'm sorry to hear about the miss communication with MAC... but how was the makeup? I hope you post some pictures!!! tell us how your B-pics went too!!!
