I am having a DJ, MC, lighting tech, and percussionist. The MC is the owner of the company. How much should each one be tipped? Thanks!

Re: Tipping DJ
We actually didn't tip anyone. I kind of thought that was crappy, but my Dad is in a wedding band and my mom says that this whole tipping craze is actually just a hoax to get the vendors more money because in reality he barely ever gets tipped.

Re: Tipping DJ
I worked for a dj company for years... Typically a good tip for dj/mc is $50 and up-usually if they were fed (you paid for the meal for them) you wouldn't give as much for a tip. Everyone else I would say maybe half of whatever you tip the dj/mc..at your discretion. Any 'set up' type of guys don't give mor than like 20-30 bucks.
ETA: OR if you just want to give the dj/mc separately you can give everyone else a lump sum to divid among themselves which works too. Just try to take care of the dj/mc most of all, they're the ones really making your party happen.
Keep in mind if you don't tip they will still do a great job regardless.

Re: Tipping DJ
we gave our DJ 100 he did a great job and he wasnt the owner. My Photographer on the other hand was the owner so we tipped him 50 and the second photographer 100.
