My friend who just like me got her wedding gown in Kleinfeld said that you are supposed to tip the person your worked with when you come to pick up your dress after last fitting. FH thinks it is a bit ridiculous since the alterations there are now 500$! Has anyone else heard of this?

I'd like to know how much too....in my fitting room there is a sign up that says seamstress appreciates tips or something to that effect.

I never thought about tipping the seamstress, don't you think the alterations cost enough?

Re: tipping for alterations
i know, that's what i thought -- but my friend who got married last year said she was told to tip and did so. Maybe like 100$... But its still money!!!

Re: tipping for alterations
When it related to 'WEDDING' they expected you to tip.. what the heck??? I am tired of this tipping thing, not that I am cheap but I think I pay enough for all the 'WEDDING' services... tipping for alterations??? Another thing on the list? Is the tipping thing ever going to end??
