Tipping for Hair and Make up trials

Hiya Everyone,

I go for my first Hair and Make up trial on Sunday. Just wondering.. Do you tip? Or what is a good tip?

Its $60.00 for Hair
$50.00 for Makeup..

Its a husband and wife that are doing it in their familys salon..

Suggestions anyone?

Thanks girls!!

If it's the owners, I wouldn't tip them.

I am going for a make up trial on Saturday to someone's home - She does make up on the side - is it necessary to tip her?

I don't think so...I read that if someone is the owner, or makes the full amount of the trial (doesn't have to go throught the salon for payment), a tip is unnecessary.

Thanks - The trial is 25 - so I might just give her 30 - but of course tip better on the day of - just wasn't sure

here is my take on this, if they spend like 3 hours and plus on you, I would tip like $15 .
otherwise, 5-10 is fine..
