Tipping for hair and makeup trial...if you are paying for the trial to begin with...

I know this has been asked before, but I am paying a lot for the hair and makeup trial and I was wondering if I should tip the artist in addition to paying the cost of the trial

I did---My hairstylist worked on me a good 2 hours--The salon got the $$$, and she deserved the tip!

She works for herself......and she travels to your home....I am paying cash, so I was wondering if I should tip on top of her charge for the trial....

I would still tip her something. It might only be a trial, but she is going to do the same work she'll do on your day. This is her job and she is putting in the same time and effort and if you feel that she deserves a tip the day of, then a tip at the trial makes sense.
