Tipping for trials?

Hey ladies,

I have my hair trial tomorrow and my makeup trial next week and I was wondering if you tip for trials and if so, how much?

I did - I gave the standard 15 or 20% (can't remember). If you really like them and you want to book them, definitely tip! They will remember and go out of their way to make sure they do a fantastic job on your wedding day

I tipped for both, my mom didn't think I had to, but they are still providing a service and both did great jobs so I tipped the standard 15%

I tipped for my make-up trial at the salon, but I'm getting my hair trial done next week at my house. Do I still need to tip?

If its at their place of work(salon or studio), yes absolutely. 20% is about the norm . If its a house call, I think a tip is a nice gesture as makeup and gas is expensive! You could maybe do around 15%.

I didn't! I felt that if they are being paid in cash, and they own the company, that money is going into their pocket anyway. I guess I was not going with etiquette!
