tipping for trials and on day of?

Hi Girls,

Do you tip for all trials, and how much... 10-20%
And then you tip again on the wedding day, correct?

TIA!

I didn't tip for trials, they're trying to impress you. You shouldn't have to tip for that.

I know... I'm really unsure what to do! I don't want to offend anyone... but I feel like its a set price for trials...?!

I am planning on tipping 20% for both....I feel like if I get a trial its the same as if I went in for a haircut and I would tip for that so why not for the trial...

The only thing is, it can get VERY pricey once you start going for multiple trials. I'll be going on my 3rd makeup trial soon...

I would tip for both also!

hairdressers depend on their tips and you are technically taking up their time

I tipped for the trial, but just like 15 %. She'll get 20 the day of

I usually don't t tip if the person is the owner of the business. My hair dresser works out of her house but if she was in a salon I would. I'll tip for the day of just because of her travel time and expenses.

Whether its a trial or an event, the person is still working, and if they did a good job, I would tip the same as if I was getting done up for an event

Thanks everyone, I was curious to see what other girls do. So far I have been tipping all along, but I wondered if I was one of the only ones and its not necessary for a trial
