Tipping help needed

Tipping help needed

So I have a lot of tipping questions.

Photo - we don't plan on tipping our photographer. They already nickeled and dimed as, he's a getting a meal and I read on many websites they are one of the vendors that a tip is not customary.
DJ- We are going to tip the dj
Limo- The tip is already included in the price.
Hall - We're going to our hall again so I'm going to find out if there is a tip/gratuiuty included. If it's not, what is the cutsomary tip?
Bartender - don't they get tips the whole night from people or have a tip jar?
Hair and makeup - the lady is coming to my house. She works out of a salon, but freelances outside doing bridal parties which is her speciality, so I guess it's sort of like her own company. She works alone, not sure if she's brining an assitant though with her. I tipped her at each trial (2)so do I have to tip her again?
Church - We are already paying a $600 donation. Do we also have to tip the priest, alter boys, organist etc?

w/ regards to the hall, most halls build in a gratuity in the contract they pay to waitors, etc... the only thing you would have to worry about is tipping your matire d which is $3-5 per guest recommended, and your bridal attendant. The bartenders do have a tip jar where guests will tip, but if you want you can provide them with an additional tip. i would tip your hair/makeup person since they are coming to your house. you do not have to tip your priest but i would tip the alter servers. my church gave me a guideline of $15-20 each for the alter servers and $25 for the sexton. the rest is up to you.

i never tip bartenders at weddings (i don't bring cash) and tip jars are kind of tacky. it's customary for the bride and groom to cover tips.

eta their tips might be covered in your contract with the RH.

Same situation for me, but I don't plan on tipping for hair and makeup because all of the money from the service is going in their pocket and it's way more than I wanted to spend in the first place.

Ummm is your photog the guy you actually signed the paperwork with? If not, you might want to reconsider tipping the actual photographer. What about videographer.

We're tipping the bartenders because we don't want them to put tip jars out. If people want to tip on their own, they're more than welcome to, but a little extra can't hurt.

Church - you should definitely tip the altar servers, and maybe a little something for the organist. Priests, however, won't accept a tip.

Hall - there should be an added tip for maitre'd and bridal attendant.

I would reconsider tipping your photo person. The guy/woman is with you from morning to late night running around snapping shots of your every move. I am sure its very exhausting. I definitely think he/she deserves a tip even if it's minimal. Maybe at least wait until you get your proofs so you can tip based on how happy you are with pics.

ITA.... I def plan on tipping our Photographer and Videographer since they hold your photos captive... LOL. It might also motivate them to want to do your work faster.
