TIPPING- I know its been asked but...

We are having a DJ, so we are tipping the DJ $50 and the MC (the owner) $100. The photographer, we are giving $100. The florist delivery guy is getting $25 and each limo driver is getting an additional $50 (plus the gratituity already charged).

I'd like to add that if the owner is providing his own service, he doesn't get an additional tip. Owner of the band, photographer who owns the company, that kind of thing. Also remember, tips are meant to be an additional acknowledgemtn for work well done. Everyone tries to convince us of minimum tips and we go crazy worrying what is appropriate. If the service is not satisfactory, please don't reward these people with more than a bare minimum. It gives the wrong message that below-par service is acceptable, and this is why everyone expects huge handouts.
A lot has been posted on tipping and you will find some good guidelines.
Good Luck.

band... i have heard 20-25$...don't we pay them enough and feed them?

photographer...i dont know if i agree with not tipping the owner..her is providing services and if he does a sensational job which i am hoping then i will tip him

limo...20% gratuity is usually included (i specifically asked about this and tehy said it is included)

flowers...good question!!

but yes use your own discretion... if you think they deserve more or less it is up to you and how satisfied you are
