Tipping is not a city in China.....

Tipping is not a city in China.....

I keep hearing all these different things about who to tip and how much on the day of. For example some of the sites say to tip your photographer. Should I tip him even though he is the owner? Also some of the amounts they have listed seem kind of low for Long Island. Any thought ladies? What are you guys doing?

I have not decided what I am going to do about tips. I am a big believer in that you are not entitled to a tip but you earn it. I will probably have a list of what I expect that I am going to give and I very well may change it based on what service we get.

I have heard that if you have the owner of a company you do not have to tip them. The only person that I am using that is the owner of the company is Variety Music. Assuming that he does a good job (I am sure he will) I will be tipping him the same way as if he was not the owner. The way I look at it is he would be making x amount regardless of whether he is the MC of our wedding. If he has to MC our wedding and does a good job I think that he deserves a tip.

Wish I knew! I will def be tipping, but how much? No idea.

As for my MD, I heard you are supposed to tip like 5%, but my MD is the general manager of the country club and when we signed the contract he said he would be my MD and so we don't have to worry about tipping. But I feel like we should still tip him! IDK!

seems like everyone has a different opinion.

Just have to do what you are comfortable with.
