Tipping maitre d'

Since there is a thread for tipping the bridal attendant. I would like to know what is the tipping for maitre d'. The CH gives some suggestions, but do you follow.

Particularly if you have worked as a maitre d' or know people who have been maitre d', please advise.

ours is included in the RH pkg- but if if the person goes over and above what we want then of course we will give more- maybe another 100- jmo

i have seen guidelines of $2-$4 a head

Yea, it was between $3-$5 a head...but it also, depends on there service too..

I was told $5.00 per head.

Abt 5 per head unless its a very very large wedding.
