tipping question

hi girls, i know this has been done over and over, but i need some clarification, please. ok, so on saturday we booked with stewart manor country club and written on our contract is Maitre D - $2.00-$3.00 pp. We spoke with the BM at the hall, but forgot to ask exactly who is who. So is the maitre d different from the BM? and if so, what do we tip our BM?

I can't believe the tip of the Maitre D would be in your contract...i have not heard of that. We were given a sheet when we signed the contract that said what was recommended.....I just posted on this and really it should be up to what your want to pay after that night....we are having over 250 at our wedding and I am giving $400-500 to matre d' and $100 to my bridal attendent.

I believe the banquet manager is just the person who signs the contract with you....they just make the sales and is the person you deal with before you meet the metre d...
