Tipping Question

Are you supposed to tip your videographer and dj if they each are the owners of their business?

We tipped the DJ and the party motivators, they are co-owners of the company.

We did not tip the photographer or the videographer. We only tipped assistants

Why wouls you not tip your photographer?? I think that he/she is the most important vendor you hire. DJ's last only a night, pictures last a lifetime!

there was just another thread about this today.

Mrs M - It's been said that you don't 'have' to tip the vendors that own their own business - since their taking the profit directly, unlike an assistant who works for salary and tips.

As I have said before why should I HAVE to tip a professional person making above min. wage? He/She is a very important vendor I agree. But I am important in my company and when I leave work no one hands me a few hundred dollars. I get a salary. I think it is very unfair that so many people expect brides to tip so much.
