so this might be a weird question but i know that they say that if a person owns the company that tipping them is optional. well what if they have assistants or other people working with them? is it weird to hand those people tips and not the owner? for example: my dj owns the company but he will have an mc with him. also, my photographer owns the company but he will have another photographer with him and also a videographer. how exactly do i handle these situations?

I personally would tip the owner also. But thats just me. Hy hairstylist and my nail girl both own their shops and I still tip.
I guess I am not the one who should be answering this huh?

I would tip. Maybe a little less than usual though. A good business owner would give the tip to their assistant.

I mean this happened to my sis so I am not sure if everyone is like this but when she went to hand the tips to the owners, they said 'give it to the guys instead'.......maybe give it to the owners and they will most likely give it to their assistants ??

this tipping issue really bugs me.
i am going to put aside a set amount of money & the night of the wedding, FH & I are going to divide it up amongst out photographer, videographer & band. they will be tipped according to how we thought they did.
